Proof of life

It’s been a long while since I’ve written in here, and frankly, I’m still figuring out what I want to share on this blog versus the newsletter.

Despite barely being on Instagram, I’m very much alive.

In fact, I'm more focused and less distracted — more engaged with real life. The reality is that as a society, we now keep in touch with friends, family, and colleagues through social media, and if you leave completely, you risk losing touch with some people.

However, there are still many ways we can contact each other — a phone call, text, FaceTime, email. And my ultimate favorite? A handwritten letter or a postcard. Remember those days?

I still use social media, but I’ve significantly decreased the time I spend on these platforms and become more intentional about where I spend my time.

Time is energy. And if you’re feeling drained, spending more time on social media is not what will fill your cup.

So here are some of the things I’ve been up to that’s helping me focus, recharge, and feel more alive.

Making videos

I'm enjoying learning how to tell stories through video, so I've been making longer-form videos so I can provide more context for what I'm sharing. I honestly don't think I've ever felt at home in short-form videos because I can't talk that fast 😂

If you haven't seen my videos on YouTube, come join me there! Here are some of my latest ones.

Newsletter

I made changes to the newsletter that align with where I'm at now. I realized I didn't just want to talk about being in my 40s—that's just part of the bigger picture.

If you're not signed up yet, give it a read and stay in touch!
